The first ever 3-D TV show, Mayavi (Steel Hand Phantom), is spreading throughout India and winning awards in Korea. After superspy Vikram loses his hand in a covert op gone wrong, he gains a new bionic hand. Each finger has a different superpower. Learn all his finger powers, and see another pic, after the jump.
Vikram is a highly skilled fighting machine and the world's best detective. So instead of putting him out to pasture when he loses his hand, the Defense Department gives him a new one. His index finger shoots bullets, the middle finger discharges electricity, and the ring finger emits a gas that puts people to sleep. (Please, no "pull my finger" jokes.) His pinky has a transmitter for the radio in his palm.
Also, the hand can detach itself and move by remote control. And if you electrify Vikram, he turns invisible for a short time. Top that, Jaime Sommers!
You need special 3-D glasses to watch Mayavi, which uses a mixture of CGI and "real-time" 3-D effects. Mayavi launches on Zee TV's Telugu-language channel on Sunday, after a successful run on the Tamil-language Jaya TV channel. The show, which won an award at the 2007 Seoul Drama Awards, is also launching in other Indian languages soon.
