Bryan Singer probably won't direct the next Superman movie after all, because he's too busy with his Tom Cruise Nazi movie, followed by his Harvey Milk biopic. Also, George Miller's Justice League movie is probably delayed until after the writers' strike, which means it may actually have a real script. But there's one piece of good news: Warners is already talking about a third Christopher Nolan-helmed Batman movie. [Variety, via Superhero Hype]

A third Batman movie and Superman gets a new director - that's just one piece of good news?
Singer seems to suffer from what I'll call directorial attention deficit disorder. He can't seem to stay attached to one project for very long, or he drops one to pick another that seems shinier at the moment. Having absolutely no loyalty to the franchise, I really enjoyed Superman Returns, but I also can't help blaming that move for the failure of X3. It seems rather fickle of him to now also drop Superman. (A friend just described it as lecherous).
stupid tom cruise and his nazis.
Wait, so does this mean Tom Cruise's character will be supergay or that Tom Cruise is supergay? Cause Singer does not work with non-supergay people.
How dare an artist work on projects they wish to work on!
Singer off the Superman franchise is definitely a good thing. I'd much rather see a "Batman Begins"-style reboot (preferably picking up the post-Crisis Man of Steel) than another homage to Donner.
maybe it won't be a tedious piece of supercrap like the last one.
