While J.J. Abrams is currently busy remaking Star Trek and shepherding the Manhattan-smashing monster movie Cloverfield, his X-Files 2.0 television show (on Fox, nonetheless) Fringe has quietly cast two of the FBI agents who will be checking out the paranormal and bizarre. Kirk Acevedo from Oz and Mark Valley of Boston Legal will be stepping in, but sadly they won't be Mulder and Scully.

10 dollars says that they eventually investigate a mysterious disappearance of Oceanic Flight 815 in the Pacific.
Hey, wasn't {Bones, Standoff , Firefly} supposed to be the next X-Files?
20 dollars says they will play a tune by Drive Shaft during a bar scene.
I thought Miracles was supposed to be the next X-Files.
Whoa, I'll watch if they have a Krycek-like hot guy. And then he'll fight with another hot guy, you know... a Mulder looking hot guy. Then there can be all this homo-erotic undertone going on that will drive the slash fan fiction network into a orgaistic fury! I'm so watching this.
@yankerosa: Then it needs to be on Tuesday (aka SlashDay).
wait, two guys as agents instead of a man/woman? I get enough of that kind of sexual tension around the office! zing!
Seriously, I remember X-Files nights where me and my friends would get together and watch that on Sundays. good times. Sadly, My money is that this comes off as a CSI reject and I dump it after 3 episodes.
@dirtybacon: *hearts* your icon.
@dirtybacon: Well, if they pick up from where Kirk Acevedo's character left off on Oz, you may get your sexual tension.
@yankerosa: Thanks!! You're the first person who has seemed to notice it...
