Jumper won't be in theaters for three weeks, but you can do the viral marketing dance and comb through its website for clues about the movie. In fact, if you hit the "jump" button and take yourself to Tokyo, you might spot a reference to a certain scifi blog in the background, right next to a strutting Samuel L. Jackson.
Okay, we know that's probably an address reading "109" on the top of that building in the background, but it's fun for us to pretend that they decided to feature our nanotech-grown Tokyo headquarters in this new "teleport your ass everwhere" movie. We wouldn't have taken any product placement dough in return, just the ability to leap through space and leave jumpscars all over the world.
The megaversion of the above photo can be found here, or you can gather the codes and stuff that you need to jump to Tokyo on the Jumper site here.

great location for you guys too. io9 it is.
I see io9 clearly. What is this 109 you reference?
Just finished reading the book last night. It's actually a sad tale of abuse and...well terrorism. It will be interesting to see how its adapted for the screen.
I wasn't at all interested in this-- sounded like a paycheck role for Jackson, and to this day I've only liked Hayden in Shattered Glass (he's best playing a whiny snot-- doesn't feel like a stretch).
BUT. . . the trailer before Cloverfield was actually pretty cool. It made me think this has "sleeper" potential. Not "Matrix"-level sleeper, but maybe "Equilibrium"-level.
Sounds a barrel of laughs.
109 is one of the most famous department stores in Tokyo... (see [en.wikipedia.org] )
It's a famous building in Shibuya called 109 not i09. It's where 13 year old hipster Japanese girls go to buy the latest fashions. Any site that ever mentioined Bladerunner should know that ;)
"109" is an uber-popular young women's shopping building in the Shibuya district of Tokyo. Sorry guys, as much as I'm sure it stroked yer egos, they aren't subliminally referencing you folks.

@dakkar, FeersumEnder, and bubbavic: Liars, liars, pants on fires. Although kudos for making a whole fake Wikipedia entry and an entire site - in Japanese no less!
But don't you think we know enough not to believe that a uber-hip anything in Japan isn't going to have a website that looks straight out of 1990s' geocities?
Good try though. Good try.
So 109 is the Forever 21 of Japan?
I'm looking forward to the movie. Here's hoping it doesn't suck. Meh, who am I kidding? It's got Samuel L. Jackson. How could it possibly be bad?
I really want Samuel Jackson's jacket.
@Annalee: I want to be Samuel L. Jackson in that jacket.
@92BuickLeSabre: I thinks it's so people can better view the site on their cellphones.
It's kinda hard to find any pics of the interiors, but I guess videos are better.

The book is great. Has anybody read Reflex, Stephen Gould's sequel to it? (Not to be confused with Stephen Jay Gould.)
@92BuickLeSabre: I want to be Samuel L. Jackson regardless of the lack and/or presence of said jacket.
I call hax
Looks kewl, can't wait, and I'm sure it's io9 cause you know i09 rocks and the movie producers know it!!!! Hehehehe.
