So, okay. A bunch of Asian hopping vampires have teamed up with a bunch of evil drug lords and are killing people and doing evil things. And then, dum dum dum! A mysterious Android Robot is created out of the maimed body of a former narcotics agent. He looks just like Robocop! Except for, well, the costume being made of those shiny silver things you put in your car windshield to block the sun. But nothing in the entire universe can compare to this fight scene between Android Robot and the evil narcotics-selling Hopping Vampires. Seriously, until you watch this clip, you basically haven't lived. If you need to see more of Robo Vampire, you can pick up this amazing gift to the world of cinema here. You won't be disappointed.

wow.
"release my vampire sand dunes or we shall... HOP AT YOU!" *hop*hop*hop*
I just bought this movie a month ago, its really as amazing as you can imagine
When will they stop Uwe Boll from directing movies?
Those hopping vampires are ancient mythology. You don't mess with ancient mythology. Otherwise the historical society comes and steals your lawn ornaments and hits your mailbox with a baseball bat. If you live in an apartment, they break in and steal your breath while you sleep.
Wait, that is cats. Or little gremlins that are killed by cats in bad movies.
The Podculture podcast (podculture.net) reviewed this movie awhile back - and in-fact their "Guilty Pleasures" reviews are based on the "Robo-Vampire" scale! And the often mention this movie.
@capnfatpants: Now that's a podcast I should obviously be listening to.
Archie McPhee used to sell Hopping Ghost puppets. With boxing action! Alas, they are no longer available.
Incidentally, Robo-Vampire is a dubbed stitch-up of two completely unrelated movies, which helps a lot to contribute to the general not-making-sense-ness of the whole thing...
@bakana: Well, at least this fight scene makes sense. I mean, it's a robot fighting vampires.
Best hopping vampires ever are in Tzui Hark's "Vampire Hunters" (Era of Vampires). That was hilarious!
a more classic movie plot there isn't
@Annalee: This fight scene certainly makes more sense that the last fight scene in Ultraviolet, I think. "It is on!" "Yes...it is!" SO GOOD.
BTW, love your avatar! Ghidorah = love!
My life's ambition is to defeat the hoppin vampires of the far east. It's an epidemic.
Their mascot is the terrifying image of (dun-dun-DUN!) Peter Cottontail!
Reminds me of InfraMan. I like that the robot vampire hunter's voice sounds like it is fed through Frampton's air tube.
"Do you feel like I do?"
Ouch. Watching the video was more horrifying than that girl from the Ring!
This was all kinds of flavours of awesome!
Anyone else develope a rash from listening to the fantastic sound fx of "bouncing plastic ball with flanger on top" that they used to set sounds to his steps. On sand!
well, it promised what it delivered. plus had some sweet robot jedi tricks in it too!
Ah, the disappointments of buying cheap Chinese knock-offs instead of real OCP hardware--you get seriously compromised targeting software. I think I could shoot better from the hip and I'm a Quaker.
when they were all ontop of robo, am i the only one who really kinda thought they were having sex with him?
as cool as the actual robo cop is, i dont recall him having the ability to summon his gun. thats all sorts of bad-ass-ery
final question...when someone is 2 feet away from you, and is slowly hoping to the left, how the F*** do you miss?!! dick cheny would've nailed that shot!!
What better to make a robot out of than the stuff that reflects the sun?
I love the thudding noise that ol' robodude's nike knockoffs make while he trudges through the sand.
@Ghede: what is the mythology? I have seen the hopping ghosts thing before, but did not know what it was based off of. I think I even remember a fighting game that had one of these ghosts in it.
Anyone notice? FRC used the Force to retrieve his gun!
What's with the white people at the end of the clip? They mar the craptasticness that is Chinese Hopping Vampires.
Was this the last episode of Flash Gordon, or an earlier one?
I especially like the part at the beginning, when he's climbing out of the hole (about 0:47), and sand pours out of the gun barrel.
@zenpoet: It's Chinese mythology. The fighting game you're thinking of is the Darkstalkers series, with a chinese ghost/"hopping vampire" named Hsien-Ko (or Lei-Lei depending on what region you're living in).
@LynxWinters: I know its Chinese, I was wondering what the particular myth is, so as I might read up on it. And thank you for telling me it was Darkstalkers. I just could not seem to remember it.
