Iron Man Tests His New, Badass Jet Boots

Here's the awesome new Iron Man commercial, shown last night during the Superbowl. You can see mecha-hero Tony Stark taking his new jet boots for a spin, and they look pretty damn spiffy. Plus you get to see him take out a tank nonchalantly with a forearm missile, and deliver a quip from his ginormous garage. It looks like he figures out how to balance out his flight with repulsors, and just check out that sleek suit of silver armor. Iron Man keeps looking better and better. Here's hoping it holds up to the hype. We also have a new gallery of stills, after the jump.

My guess is that they are going to show a progression as he develops the armor. And use the process to do a few shout-outs to various incarnations of the comic book armor.

@mwells54: Unpainted Iron Man I think. Will fetch a lot of money on eBay! :) I'm gonna take a guess that War Machine won't just be a colour swapped version of the movie suit but something bulkier and with more overt weaponry.

I'm having some reservations about Iron Man.

One, the suit looks blah. Sure, its true to the comic, but it just doesn't scream "real" to me. The proto-suit he builds with a fucking blacksmith hammer and anvil looks sweet as hell (and reminds me of Steel O' Neal though, but in a good way. It should look bulky)

But then i saw how he responded to the tank shooting at him. That sold me.
