Hayden Panettiere let it leak that Heroes won't be back for the rest of the season, even though the strike is coming to an end. Maybe this will allow the writers to focus on Season Three (Season 2.0 Redux?) and come out of the gate with a bang instead of a whimper. After all, we know they've filmed part of Volume Three: Villains and that it's all about the bad guys, so how can they screw that up? Plus Zachary Quinto will be done with Spock duty, so they can cram more Sylar in there for extra brain-munching action. [Ain't It Cool News]

Hayden Panettiere said she will not be returning to Heroes to pursue her lifelong dream project "Hayden's Garden of Eden Sexy All-Lingerie Kung-Fu Burlesque Show".

- huh wha? was I sleeping again at work?
I sure hope they send Hiro back in time to a Medieval Europe that looks exactly like Burbank or Riverside. Actually, the Medieval Times in Ontario has some nice looking beer wenches.
Please please LESS Syler. No offence to Zachary Quinto, but his breathy voice and mannerisms make me think less "villain" and more "pedophile."
The character gives me the creeps for all the wrong reasons.
Yeah it's definitely no good that Heroes won't be back until next fall. Maybe they can take this time to get their act together so they can come out with an awesome Season 3 to make up for the short 2.
Perhaps they will let Kevin Smith and the others get going on Origins. I'd like to see Mewes on the small screen.
Mmmm, Zachary Quinto with his eyebrows back to normal.
...Mmmmm.
"Villains" Or "how Tim Kring attempts to salvage this crap".
*...sigh...*
On the bright side, the Season 2 DVD set will be cheaper, right?
I sort of think that by fall, this ship will have sailed.
You know, even though season 1 was better than season 2 overall, I liked a lot of aspects of season 2.
Noah Bennett became a lot more interesting, as did Suresh. They finally killed off nicky and dl, who were weighing down the series like an anchor. Parkman got some cool new powers.
Mmmm. I think there's a lot of potential for season 3. Season 2 wasn't horrible. It was still good t.v. It just wasn't as majestic as season 1.
@Pope John Peeps II:
Nicky isn't dead.
From what I hear, the only "death" that seems to have actually stuck is DL's.
@Git Em SteveDave: Are you hoping to see Heroes: Origins - Blunt Man and Chronic, episode?
"No More Heroes ... At Least Until Fall"
Well... duh. The creators of the show pretty much said that when the strike came on.
@iJake: No, but Kevin promised to put Jay in an episode. I'm guessing it will be sans Kevin, of course. I don't think he puts himself in EVERYTHING he writes.
@Jim (The Canuck One):
AGREED!!!!
Sylar has become the least interesting character on Heroes. Any day now he's going to play with his newly grown Snidely Whiplash mustache and finish the journey to being totally two-dimensional.
@Jim (The Canuck One): Bless you, Northern brother. He's just annoying me now.
@Plague:
Not technically accurate. Ali Larter will still be on the show, but according to Ausiello, the Niki personality is dead as a doornail.
