Eric Bana set his phaser to overload and dropped it in the middle of a mass of fans before walking away with a smirk on his face. His much-ballyhooed role as the Romulan villain in the new J.J. Abrams Star Trek film is only a cameo. But he adds that "it's a good cameo!" However, he also mentions that he hasn't started filming his role yet, so perhaps Abrams will beef it up with some juicy Khan-esque lines, so Chris Pine can fall to his knees and shout "NEEEEROOOOOOOOOOO!" Will he be wearing a shirt? That's really the most important question.
Not masculine enough indeed!?!
is eric bana someone i should know before i looked him up in imdb? and how certain are you he is the best actor given his short resume and someone unknown could be the next great actor?
JJ has been on record as saying that he has set this movie up for at least 2 sequels if it succeeds in resurrecting the franchise. I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of Nero.
@Falconfire: I think JJ had better not count his chickens before they hatch.
Eric Bana was one of the reasons Hulk failed.
@sneggleblech: Yes, but the failure was pretty to look at. Kinda like Troy.
@sneggleblech: With what he had available, I thought he did a good job.
Now if they had put that Hayden douche in it, then I would say you could blame him, but Banna did alright.
@zenpoet: Agreed, he was the best thing about that flick.
@mikelotus: Check out The Hulk, Troy, and Munich.
@sneggleblech: I disagree.
Ang Lee, and those mutant dogs are why The Hulk failed.
I still think Bana's best role is Chopper. The murdering bastard who won Australia's heart with his wacky antics.
@Iamtehawesome: Those are certainly aspects of the many reasons, but Bana was one of them, as well.
Of course, when I saw that his characters legal name was not Robert Bruce Banner, I knew there was going to be a problem.
