Early warning: The CGI Astro Boy movie will be an "Oliver Twist" story, says newly announced screenwriter Timothy Harris (Space Jam, Kindergarten Cop). Directed by David Bowers (Flushed Away), Astro Boy is the story of a scientist who creates a robot boy to replace the son he lost. But the young robot fails to fulfill his "father's" expectations, so he goes off on a journey "in search of acceptance," descending into a netherworld of robot gladiators and experiencing betrayal.
