This weird structure plays a role in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek movie, judging from photos of the shooting taken by JFX Online. The ultra-smudgy photos also show someone who could be a Klingon, or a craft-services worker. But there are also pics of John Cho (Sulu) drinking coffee in some kind of battlesuit/spacesuit with a Starfleet insignia. Click though to see the least rohrshacky of these, and see the rest at JFX.

Maybe its the blur, but that is pretty much how I envision Ender in his Battle Suit. John Cho looks 8 years old there.
i hope they keep the parking lot visible in the back ground so we can get all depressed.
@Garrison Dean: That's not fair. He could easily be 9 or 10 years old in that picture.
Hey! He stuffed that little guy from Mars under his arm! That's not nice.
That picture would be several times more useful without the giant watermark over top of it.
Wow, it looks like you can still get Starbucks in the 24th century.
@Ryan H: Yes, it would. Thank JFX.
@BloggyMcBlogBlog: Of course! it's around every corner of the galaxy by then...
That suit look is actually very Wrath of Khanesque
@Ryan H: Only on the internet do people watermark material that is in some way secret or proprietary that they stole.
@Oxfordian:
This EEES Ceti Alpha Five!
i hope that double decaf half foam mocha frappacino doesn't end up in a shot.
Obviously this thing is the complex on the Lost island. A rift in the space time continuum has transported a piece of the future onto the island, and that's what all the weird stuff is caused by...It's all a holodeck story being played out by a bunch of federation pot-heads who have nothing better to do in their utopian society. "Dude, the program isn't supposed to make us suffer! Computer, shut the program down!"
"Good morning, Dave..."
I don't see the Klingon/Klingon, craft-services worker?
Oh my...
i bet that parking lot is the real movie tie in, that red bit is just to distract us from the reals tar. the parking lot. maybe they visit a parking lot planet.
It's a little known made up fact that Starbucks the coffee franchise is merely the precursor to Starfleet. As Starbucks spread across the globe, they quickly became the sole local economic force, before eventually investing their capital into constructing an interstellar space fleet in search of new worlds and new civilizations...that they could sell coffee to.
@Oxfordian:
Agreed. Good catch.
@victheremin:
"I never forget a face. Even one I've never met until now, Mr Chekov."
should've cast Jin from lost as Sulu.
Harold and Kumar go to the future.
@JohnnyZito: Screw that. Two words.
Beat. Takashi.
Couldn't you just see him walking around the bridge of the Enterprise, mean mugging at people and smacking them in the mouth?
