Anyway, the MMORPG City of Heroes has some cool sci-fi stuff in it too. The cyborg zombies puke on you, which is pretty squirty. And there is an awesome steampunk villain group. Like, actual steam-powered robots and armor suits.

Heh. Well, I play TR, so I can tell you that it's called an amoeboid, and it squirts corrosive acid. These things are sort of like the attack dogs for the main enemy race in the game, the Thrax.

@zeppelined: Also, they recently introduced those radioactive space zombie skeletons.

I've wanted to play TR but sadly my old machine can't stand up to that game.

You dont have to look far to find monsters squirting stuff. Hell I'm sure there's tons of sci-fi tentacle porn somewhere in someone's Anime archives (Not mine. I have taste.)

DUDE, they weren't squirty dinosaurs in Jurassic Park they were *spitty* dinosaurs. They totally get a pass. That thing up there is about as subtle as a Giger alien.

@braak: Oh, the Shivans? Yes, those are cool. Been around for awhile, actually. The best part is, you can acquire the ability to summon one yourself. Having a humanoid blob of radioactive goo with a skeleton inside it do your bidding is pretty kick-ass.

There's loads of sci-fi in City of Heroes, really. The main backstory of the game is based on an invasion by extra-dimensional aliens (who were recently revamped and upgraded). There's a whole time travel thing too. And some crazy cyberpunk bad guys that jack themselves with all kinds of hardcore cybernetic upgrades. Not to mention Arachnos, the main high-tech baddies.
