The people competing to be Stan Lee's newest superhero in Who Wants To Be A Superhero? must not have seen his 2006 TV movie Lightspeed. Lightspeed stars Sean Connery's son Jason as Daniel Leight, a government agent who gains the ability to run at super-speed... but the speed is killing his metabolism. (Just imagine Stan Lee creating the Flash... again!) This is the only watchable scene in the whole thing, thanks to supervillain Python's dialogue about face-eating, blow-torch leg amputation, and severed legs running in circles. Actually, we're not sure what Python is talking about, but it sounds massively creepy.

Wow. Terrible. I got to 1:19 before turning it off.
And 1:09 of that was due solely to the fact that Jason Connery as Robin Hood played such a large part in my pre-teen development as a girl.
Is that Nicole Eggert??? For some reason I thought she'd be doing better than this.
And Lee Majors!!! ...as a bad guy? Booo
Yep, horrible. The old flash show made the whole "I am running super fast" look better and the villain, God he sounded stupid.
Oh my god, that's Lee Majors.
:(
'The Flash' was created by Gardner Fox and artist Harry Lampert for All-American Comics one of the three that got merged into what is now DC Comics. First appearance was 'Flash Comics' #1 in 1940.
John Byrne here.
Stan Lee never created the Flash.
But he did create Quicksilver.
I think Charlie's line about "Stan Lee creating the Flash...again" was a reference to this comic book from 2001.
Leave Charlie alone!
@The Tensor: Yup exactly. There was a whole line of "Just Imagine Stan Lee... Actually Creating Something!" comics.
The post refers to the "Just Imagine Stan Lee Creating the Flash" comic that DC put out, not claiming that Stan Lee created the Flash.
Damn, beat to it!
Let's not forgot the first run of WWTBAS's winner Feedback. He was featured¹ in Mega Snake.
I was under the impression that he would be getting his own movie (much like Lightspeed).
¹ Don't blink or you will miss him.
...That movie combines the poor acting of Power Rangers with the bad special effects of Power Rangers and the spandex-bodysuits of Power Rangers. I'd say it was like Power Rangers, but the camera work was worse, the plot was harder to follow, and there were no flashy movie martial arts to class the place up.
The winner of that show gets to star in a Sci-Fi channel original movie and gets a short-lived comic about their own character, yeah?
How did they make the running effects worse than the live action Flash TV show? It seems like they would have to actually make an effort to be topped by a nearly 20 year old TV show.
My Eyes! The goggles, they do nothing!
Uh... what?
That. Was. Awful.
and way to short...
Wait a second, wasn't there a speedster named "Lightning" in the T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents comics who would age rapidly the more he used his super-speed suit?
Ok, I hate to admit it, but I have seen this movie. It was a dark and lonely day, and I was bored. Also, I initially thought it was the movie for "Feedback" the first winner of "Who Wants To Be A Superhero".
THIS MOVIE WAS ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE. He made his costume out of crap from "Sport Authority", a ice skater suit or something and the shoes were wrestling shoes and some Blu-Blockers.
The one great thing about this movie, is that I was recently telling my coworkers about this movie. We were talking about Stan Lee Flicks... and now I have proof to back up
