A pair of lovers step into a time machine, and find themselves in the glittery Mumbai of the year 2050, which includes flying cars, holograms, sex robots and Indian ninjas. There will be a lot more kickboxing 42 years from now — and probably quite a few spontaneous song-and-dance numbers as well. We've been excited for Bollywood's Love Story 2050 for months, and we're even more excited after seeing this trailer, which showcases an unfinished version of the movie's big-budget special effects. The movie comes out this summer, at which point we'll be dancing in the aisles.

Holy crap, its like they took ALL the scifi movies out there and mismashed it into one - i saw a robot from Bicentennial man, some matrix and a ton of other familiar visuals -
forget judging by its visuals, just looking at the storyline and parts stolen from other movies i wouldnt want to watch it
hold on.. adding more
I robot
Time Machine
HALO (the armor)
Mortal Combat
Spiderman ...
What, you were expecting something original? We don't do that anymore.
[This comment made from 100% recycled snark]
@Gyrus: yeah but was it post-consumer snark or pre-consumer snark?
@chuloallen:
...Armageddon, A.I., The Matrix, Millenium Man...
@Citizen Kang:
You're such a "moran"...it's Bicentennial Man like the guy said.
You forgot to mention this is a nepotic lovefest, with the director and producer's son (his acting premiere, actually) and son's girlfriend starring.
For all who go see this, please make sure that your suspension of disbelief larder is fully stocked. Prepare yourself by watching Koi Mil Gaya and/or Krrish.
Music might be good though.
Sex robots and Indian Ninjas? All this movie needs is a dragon.
In the future, even the robots will... DANCE!
@B: I dunno if it needs a Dragon, I'm pretty sure I saw a care bear in there. Now after checking with the department of weights and measures, one care bear will out weight a Dragon in a Sci-Fi movie, unless the movie is about dragons, then they are equal.
the robot teddy bear from AI!
Minority Report
Ultraviolet
Stating the obvious, but the next 42 years are going to be really busy if we're going to make all those advancements and build all that stuff!
Couldn't they make it at least 100 years? 150 maybe?
@Johnny.Shitbox: But what if it is a Dragon Fighting Care Bear? And not a Puff the Magic Dragon, but more a Reign of Fire dragon?
@92BuickLeSabre: I don't care. It looks awesome.
@92BuickLeSabre: I dunno. I mean look where we were technologically 42 years ago.
being a bollywood fan & sci-fan this is all my dreams come true, it's a bloody wet dream!
I really can't wait for this, one thing bollywood is good at is taking ideas and putting a good love plot within. I think it's great it's got so many looks.
It just shows you hollywood burn too much money on one look, when you can have many.
This could be exceptional mashup heaven.
I can't wait! It's what sci-fi needs right now is some bollywood treatment.
It's got to be better than the star trek prequel !
I totally caught some street fighter/mortal kombat action in there.
It's like an everything sundae. Not good for you, but you loves the candy.
I'm guessing this is a parody, judging by all the SF movie references mentioned above. If it's as fun as that turkish SF parody G.O.R.A., I'd watch it.
@Michael_GR: Oh no, my friend, 'tis real. 'Tis frighteningly real. Strap yourself in and enjoy.
