Joss Whedon's new show Dollhouse, about an amnesiac puppet (Eliza Dushku) who can be programmed to be anyone and have any skills, got another castmember today. Olivia Williams, who was Bruce Willis' wife in The Sixth Sense, will play Adelle, who runs the Dollhouse and ruthlessly crushes anyone who gets in her way. (But she's secretly lonely.) In a separate piece of casting news, Ving Rhames has joined the cast of Willis' new movie Surrogates, which we covered earlier today. Rhames will play the leader of a cult that believes people shouldn't only interact using robotic avatars, but should meet up in meatspace. Image by Wenn. [TV Guide, Moviehole]

While Rushmore is the truly notable credit, you could have gone with The Postman for yet another post mentioning post-apocalyptic dystopias!
Olivia Williams was also awesome in To Kill A King, a British film about Cromwell and his nobleman co-revolutionary. And she played Moira McTaggart in that Ratner film that shall not be named.
She was also in Spaced for about 5 seconds.
I bet if Ed had written this she would have been credited for her Postman role.
just saying.
Loved her in Rushmore. A fine film indeed.
@kromekoran: As soon as I saw her name there, I immediately thought, "Ah, my Postman-loving acolytes will be howling about this. Muhahahahahaha."
She's yum.
(Rushmore. Not Postman)
I read that as "Played Bruce Willis' wife in The Fifth Element" and all I could think was "oh, I hate that bitch! Wait..."
Ah yes, Rushmore. Very yum.
I've got some ideas for programming Eliza Dushku, if you know what I mean.
Wait a minute here... I'm detecting some mockery aimed at "The Postman", as if it was something other than the noblest, most awesomest, sweetest, Kevin Costner sci-fi movie ever?
@DCI Gene Hunt: That movie passed out hope like it was candy.
