The trailer just came out for God's Puzzle, the new Takashi Miike film about identical twins who help a mysterious girl create a new universe. It looks as zany as you'd expect, but the visuals are also gorgeous. (As much as you can tell from the super low-res version Toei released. Sorry about picture quality.)

It's Miike.
Nuff said.
But I have no clue as to what is going on in this trailer.
HUH?
The pixelation in this trailer makes my Colecovision look like the Mona Lisa.
Miike + low res = Big old HUH?!
And didn't you all say this was a kids film? I mean, I don't expect 3 Ninjas, but this doesn't look like something for the family. I could be wrong as I had no idea what was happening, but there sure was a lot of yelling for a kids film.
The movie looks interesting enough, but that video looks like it was made to play on a Sega Game Gear.

You guys really need to fix the video problems on this site.

@Seth L: Yeah, in this case it really isn't our fault. The origianl video was incredibly lame... and maybe I shouldn't have bothered posting it until I could get a better copy. But I was excited about it and wanted to share!
@Plague: Sukiyaki Western Django. 'Nuff said.
@Charlie Jane Anders:
I was kidding.
@Klappstuhl:
That trailer made sense though!
@Seth L: I know! But I'm still a tad embarassed in this case....
@Charlie Jane Anders:
Its ok, we still love you.
This sounds like Miike trying to make something similar to the incredible Taste of Tea from the equally incredible Katsuhito Ishii. I just don't see this being up there with Izo or Audition, but I'll definitely check it out.

I don't see this being as great as Izo or Audition, but I'll definitely check it out.
