    Spaceman Made of Coathangers

    David Mach is a London-based sculptor who owns lots of coat hangers, so he made a spaceman sculpture out of them. He also made a giant gorilla and a hooker out of hangers. We have more images and a quick recap of his sculptural method.


    First, Mach creates a plastic base. Then he wraps it in hundreds and hundreds of wire hangers and welds them together. Finally, he removes the plastic base and plates the whole thing in silver nickel.
