Scifi authors Cory Doctorow and John Scalzi both have books coming out (Little Brothers and Zoe's War respectively) that are aimed at young adults. It's great to see two smartypants writers aiming their often-subversive messages at the next generation. Now they've just done a great mutual interview about their new books, plus a little digression into lighting things on fire and putting bacon on cats. You can see the video on YouTube via BoingBoing.

I am enjoying Ghost Brigades By Scalzi right now, not sure how I feel about a CDF book from a child's point of view. I am sure I will check it out as soon as it comes on audible though.
I've often wondered what the correct pronunciation of "Doctorow" is. I imagine it's something more complicated than "Doctor-Ow".
Knowing my luck the answer is embedded in the linked video which is currently blocked by the office firewalls.
Doctorow... Doctorow... Sorry, doesn't ring a bell.
I'm gonna pre-order "Zoe's War" for my godchildren Now. I'm ashamed to say I haven't read much Cory Doctorow, but I've heard a lot of good things. Should I start with "Down and Out in the Magic Kingdom" or something else, suggestions?
Just got off the horn with my dealer at Borderlanss Books. Apparently "Little Brother" is already out and the staff is raving about it.
Is this a trend, d'ya think? I know Mieville did Un Lun Dun ..
