Every mad scientist's favorite whipping boy is taking a stand. It's the 51st annual science fair, in a land where the population is made up of both evil and mad scientists. But the people that do all the work with no reward are the "Igors." The main character Igor (voiced by John Cusack) thinks it's high time that an Igor gets a chance to outwit the scientists in their own competition. Check out the trailer and see Igor's awesome science project. Plus there's a primer on how to talk to your Igor in a politically correct manner.

That looks pretty funny, actually.
So now the CGIers are copying the claymationers for stylistic elements? I dunna ken.
@ >a href="http://io9.com/people/SavannahJack/">SavannahJack: Yup, it looks a little too Nightmare Before Science Fair for my liking, although I'm sure it'll be plenty funny.
Damn different functions on a Danish keyboard...
As usual the sidekicks are funnier than the main characters. But they had me at "mad scientist." So I guess I'll be there surrounded by 6 year-olds and confused Tim Burton fans.
Oh, I'm going to need the toys for this, aren't I?
God, I hated the Igors from Castlevania. Stay still you little bitches.
@Plague: toys, stuffed animals, soundtrack, slushy drink you name it.
Okay, I love the premise, but I hate the trailer. Totally torn.
Man, watching that made me think that it might've actually been a Psychonauts movie.
Other than that, Igor looks like perfect Net Flix fodder.
An Igor, Inventing on it'th own? That'th what you get when you go for the thecond clathh organithaathunth. I recommend you get your igorth from We R Igorth. You can find them in Bad Thchüthchein.
I'm glad I'm not actually thpeaking like thith. I'd have to get my keyboard replathed, all the thpit would thhort it out.
I'm going to have to thee thith ath thoon ath it ith out. Mad thienthe ith nothing without an Igor.
@Ghede:
I think blood came out my ears while I was attempting to parse "Thchüthchein"
This film looks like a Terry Pratchet/Tim Burton ripoff... Tom Servo, is that you?
I hope Terry Pratchett gets a nod, for his idea of the not quite identical Igors.
It's not "eeegor," it's "eyegor!"
What hump?
This looks fun. I might catch in theatres, but definitely on netflix.
@joneez:
Approves:
+ Watch video
Now the icing on the cake would be if that female creature created in the trailer was actually named Abby...Someone. Abby...Normal? ;-)
@Killa_Charlie: I was thinking the same thing. The female scientist in the slapfight just screams "Milla Vodello" to me.
Stupid lack of a proper sequel...
@Lladra: @codydog: QFT.
@WellsJohnson: This always comes to mind when I see that movie!
