We already knew Iron Man was full of little "easter eggs" and clues about the future of the Marvel movies. And now it looks as though one more hidden clue has turned up. Just look at this screengrab from the movie's trailer, and then compare it with a picture of the same scene in the final movie, to see what was added. Spoilers ahead. Update: A reader sent us a better quality picture that shows the alleged item.
This is from the scene where Gwyneth Paltrow walks in on Tony having his armor removed, and he says, "Let's face it, this is not the worst thing you've caught me doing." Take a look at the bottom left-hand side of the image, under Tony's arm — notice anything different? It looks like Captain America's shield, complete with familiar white star painted on it. It must have been added at the last minute, to tease fans about the upcoming Avengers and Captain America movies. Says reader Nate, "the shield is partially built and it looks to be segmented, like it could expand or generate some form of energy." [Thanks to Nate]

In the bottom left you can also see a huge briefcase full of money for Jon Favreau and Robert Downey Jr. to sign for Iron Man 2, Avengers and Iron Man 3.

I think you are reaching for something. If you shift the bottom picture up so it would overlay the top one, the blurry shit looks just like the reflection on the good picture.
I'm starting to get a headache from squinting. Is this like one of those Magic Hidden pictures where you have to cross your eyes to make the image appear?

Wasn't the expanding shield part of his fore arm armour in the mk 3 suit... i mean there is a pretty clear shot where he blocks with it...

It's not like the Cap made the shield himself in the comics.
If it's true, it works and is a fun organic way to grow the franchises.

yeah, i know i'm not pure of heart, or much else. generally, that's a feature not a bug.
i've blown up both pictures to larger and i really think it's just a trick of the light and your mind filling in the negative space and the blurriness, and the fact that his arm is lower down in the "OMGSHIELD" pic so that you don't get as much context for the other things behind him.
On the wall mounted LCD is Halo 3... you have to look really close to make it out.
