On the heels of the video diary about building the sets of Zack Snyder's Watchmen movie, it's nice to see the same attention to detail is also being applied to the costumes, which span all the way from 1938 to 1985. Watchmen's Costume Designer Michael Wilkinson discusses the insane amount of wardrobe his team had to create in this new video journal. Check out some additional concept art for the our favorite vigilantes and their outfits including side by side shots of the costumed adventurers both in costume and in their alter-ego casual wear (with great color drawings of the Comedian, Silk Spectre and Ozymandias.) Embarrassingly, I'm excited by the period costumes... and also by the screengrab of Brad Neely's History Lesson #1 that I saw taped onto the side of a monitor somewhere in there.

Do you know that the Nazis had the house of Boss design their oh-so-evil-but-cool uniforms? The lighting bolt SS symbol was one of Hugo's personal favorites. If you'll notice the next time you watch Indiana Jones, the Nazi's are impeccably dressed--coat hanger please. That's because officers had to pay for their own uniforms and they cost a small fortune.
Most of those look "Batman-on-Ice" bad. Ozymandias has rubber nipples, if you didn't notice.
@Palliard: Ha!! He totally does. That said, try not to judge the movie on the costumes...
@Palliard: But if he based his costume on classical sculpture, then the nipples are a must have.
re: The gimp mask. That's actually something The Comedian wears in the comics, so yeah.
