did i miss something? when did io9 jump the shark? there is still a cool sci-fi related story here and there...but the random "check this out" posts are so weak.
less fluff! more SCI FI!!!
and no, MOBY is *not* sci-fi and neither is Mummenschanz.
[muppet.wikia.com]
ps. I have been a fan of this site since its launch, hate to see its content go downhill...
I wish rappers would swap out the usual dance hos for drag queens! Yay for Lady Bunny. Now let's get Hedda Lettuce in the next Snoop Dogg vid!
God, I hate New York.
i love me some Lady Bunny too!
this will be the background for a car commercial in 5, 4, 3, 2....
What a delightfully weird video.
BTW, that Moby album is fantastic. It's like a history of New York nightlife. The rapper on that song is Grandmaster Caz, one of the very first MCs and the guy who wrote some of the lyrics to "Rapper's Delight."
For you Moby Haters out there:
"I think people hate you and don't know why."

Sorry, I am not seeing the 'mutant' aspect here. Does this mean that every Disney character or McDonalds mascot is a 'mutant' too? I always had my suspicions about Mayor McCheese.

@bonniegrrl: "Oh I don't like where this is going." Pure. Gold.

Trumpy, you can do funky things!
Maybe its baby Clover?
he looks so hilarious in his little snow suit-- i'm just glad they used a real puppet instead of bad CG.
could IO9 keep showing scifi music videos? e.g. this Rick Springfield video where he fights alien overlords.. with rock and roll?

We are not men, We are Devo
Meh, I've seen weirder in the club.
@Priam: When my girlfriend saw that she laughed at the stocking heads for about 45 minutes. I truly love Devo.
Heee. Moby himself can be annoying, but I heart his music.
@bonniegrrl: Thanks for that link. Never seen that show before. Hilarious weird Brit not-talk/not-game show.
Moby's a good sport.
@DSTRYA: I'm going to try and start showing more new science fiction music videos. Just to keep everyone updated of fresh scifi newness.
And then every once and a while pull some vinatge footage from crazy Kraftwerk videos and things like the Rick Springfield video.
