With the news that the next Spider-Man could be premiering as early as 2010, it seems that the producers for Spiderman 4 and 5 are already picking out their next Peter Parker from a line up of up-and-coming Hollywood boys. According to Latino Review the studio's shortlist has two names: Patrick Fugit of Saved and Almost Famous is the first choice for the lead. Although no offers have been made yet, if Fugit passes on the role the studio's second choice is Michael Angarano (Sky High). Either of these Spideys would let the film-makers capture a more old-school high-school feeling, with much younger faces than Tobey Maguire. [Latino Review]
