Don't start looking for a date for the April 2010 launch of Iron Man 2 just yet. Director Jon Favreau says there's no way he can make that release date unless he makes a terrible movie. Says Favreau, "Neither Robert nor I were consulted about this and we are both concerned about how realistic the date is in light of the fact that we have no script, story or even writers hired yet." Favreau adds that he shouldn't have to sacrifice script quality, just so Marvel can strike while the iron is hot. Favreau's also annoyed that he won't get to direct Avengers, because Marvel has scheduled Iron Man 2 and Avengers too close together. Still, if I was Favreau I would think twice before complaining so loudly without a signed contract. Oh, and I'd wear the Iron Man helmet out constantly.
