Eight Toys You Can't Leave Comic-Con Without

The San Diego Comic-Con isn't just the place to go to meet your favorite geek celebrities, hear about the latest comics, movies or television shows or pick up that long-desired issue of Adolescent Radioactive Black-Belt Hamsters - It's also where toymakers release a lot of "exclusives" that you can't find anywhere else. Under the jump, we have the eight things you should make a point of picking up when you hit "America's Finest City" (Hey, they said it, not me) next month.

Heroes Sylar Action Figure: What says "evil brain-eating mutant" more than a paint palette filled with such beautiful colors? This is just one of a number of Heroes exclusives at the con, which also include a future Hiro figure and a glow-in-the-dark watch. Yes, I said a glow-in-the-dark watch. I don't know why either.

Shadow Guard Vinyl Collectible Doll: Apparently, to serve the Emperor properly in the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video game, you need to have very, very large hands. According to the promo for the figure, "Each one of these elite guards is specially chosen by Palpatine for his exceptional loyalty to the Emperor and the Empire, and for his ability to use the Force." It's probably because he can hold a much larger lightsaber.

Iron Man Through The Ages Box Set: Celebrate the ingenuity of Tony Stark with this collection of his many wonderful inventions! Which all happen to be... the same invention... in slightly different forms. Hey, I thought this guy was a technological genius? Mind you, it worked for Steve Jobs and the iPod.

SDCC 2008 Marvel MIGHTY MUGGS- Peter Parker: You can tell that this little retro-Peter Parker is ready for action by the way his Spider-Sense changes half of his face into an amazing replication of his mask. I never quite worked out how it did that, but it sure looks cool on this little dude.

Limited-Edition Fin Fang Foom Build-a-Figure Box Set: There is very possibly nothing as wonderful as this box-set of eight Hulk-related action fictures (including a grey Hulk, two different green Hulks, She-Hulk and Skaar, Son of Hulk) plus eight different sections that you can put together to build your very own evil dragon, Fin Fang Foom. Admit it. You want your own evil dragon.

EE Exclusive Star Wars Luke as Stormtrooper Bobble Head: Isn't it worrying just how much this looks like the young Mark Hamill? Was his head as out of proportion with the rest of his body back in 1977, and none of us really noticed?

Transformers Nemesis Prime: It's Nemesis Prime! Did you even know there was a Nemesis Prime? He's an evil clone of Optimus Prime, which you can tell, because he's got a black paint job instead of bring bright red. Some may call it an uninspired way to get rid of old, repainted, Optimus Prime toys, but I can't help but call it awesome.

Battlestar Galactica Frakkin' Cylon Toaster: Oh, come on. Like you don't want one of these pieces of puntastic marketing madness. Better get one quick, though; they may be expensive ($75 for a toaster?), but there are only 1000 in existence...
