We almost had a Gort who looked like a new-style Battlestar Galactica centurion, in the Day The Earth Stood Still remake. This is an early piece of Gort concept art, posted by artist Lorin Wood. In the end, of course, we ended up with a CGI Gort that's based much more closely on the original version. But the more sleek, cylon-esque model looks kind of cool as well. Click through to see the full image. Update: In the comments, Wood says this art was just drawn for fun, and wasn't "official" art for the movie.
