Here's the new poster for Mutants, a new French movie about a married couple trying to escape from a pack of bloodthirsty mutant types. We've got the full poster, plus one other, below. Another new vaguely post-apocalyptic looking horror film from France, Humains, released a few spooky stills. Both films seem to stick to the tried-and-true convention of a few survivors fleeing something awful. Could we be seeing the rise of F-horror? Spoilers ahead.
Here are the two Mutants posters. One was posted at Shocktillyoudrop, the other went up on director David Morley's MySpace page.
Meanwhile, we know a bit more about Humains, which released some stills through German site BlairWitch. Here's a synopsis from Twitch:
A team of several researchers travel to the Swiss Alps to investigate a scientific discovery on human evolution. A family of tourists who have come to take part in the famous carnival. The trip, however, turns into a deadly fight for survival when everyone crashes into a gully and find themselves falling prey to someone...or something.
It's got everything! Researchers, evolution, tourists, carnivals, and dark caves. Also, the tagline "Are we the only human beings on Earth?" suggests some kind of huge genocidal catastrophe. Also, judging from the stills at BlairWitch, there's a car crash, someone gets injured, and there's a mysterious skeleton. And then someone almost drowns in a flood. At left is a poster (where the cave sort of looks like a monster face) and here's one of the new stills:
