Captain Kirk's Deepest Trauma — Revealed!

This morning's spoilers include a major revelation about Captain Kirk's past, from the J.J. Abrams Star Trek film, and it'll make you see him in a whole new light. Plus new hints about a fan-favorite robot turning up in Transformers 2, and some new characters you'll meet in Lost. One of the craziest Doctor Who rumors got shot down, and you'll never guess which Heroes character is the new Anakin Skywalker. Plus new interviews and hints for Smallville, Sarah Connor, Fringe, Stargate Atlantis and your favorite, Knight Rider. Greet the week with spoilers!

Star Trek:

Remember in Star Trek V when Kirk says he doesn't want to get rid of his childhood pain, because he needs his pain? It looks like we're finally going to discover just whereof he spoke. Actor Brad William Henke plays Kirk's Uncle Frank in the new J.J. Abrams Trek movie, and he spilled some details about the character: "I play Captain Kirk’s alcoholic, abusive uncle when he’s a kid, and I treat him very badly, which forces him to go off and do what he does." And apparently all his scenes are with the kid who plays Kirk as a child. [Collider]

Transformers: Revenge Of The Fallen:

Co-writer Roberto Orci answered more fan questions, and dropped a few new details. A Peter Cullen cameo is in the movie's script, and we'll see if Michael Bay shoots it. The sequel is about half introducing new concepts, versus expanding concepts from the first movie. And it'll deal much more with the mythology of the Transformers. Jazz will definitely not be back. The former boombox Transformer Soundwave will not be an ipod, nor will he be an ice cream truck. And the Chevy Volt is not Soundwave, either. The movie is filming at Holloman Air Force Base, and then it's going to Egypt. [Transformers Live]

Also, here are some rumors: Jetfire the SR-71 Blackbird will definitely be an Autobot, not a Decepticon, in the new movie. (But he may be undercover as a Decepticon, or change sides during the movie.) There may be five Transformers movies total. Starscream may have some special plans for the dead body of Bonecrusher, who is supposed to be part of the Devastator mega-bot. Also, Scorponok will get an upgrade, and his robot mode will be similar to the toys. [Transformers Live again]

Doctor Who:

The BBC has denied reports that TV movie Doctor Paul McGann will be back for one of next year's special episodes, according to DigitalSpy. But other sources still insist McGann will be back. [BlogtorWho]

Heroes:

So Hiro will be like the Anakin Skywalker of the Heroes universe, because he goes to the "dark side" in season three. He spends a lot of time with Ando, but doesn't spend much time with the rest of the season one cast. [BuddyTV via SpoilerTV]

And here are some promo pics from the second Heroes episode, which airs the same night as the first. Looks like Mama Petrelli will be playing with some yarn, and Claire hangs out with Uncle Peter, not realizing he's the evil future version. [SpoilerTV]

Smallville:

Davis Bloome aka Doomsday is partly a moody loner because he was raised in the foster care system. Also, he doesn' t know anything about superheroes or meteor-powered people, and is initially quite skeptical about them when he starts hearing about them. [Starry Constellation Magazine]

Also, here's the official synopsis for episode three, where it looks like we'll be seeing more of Oliver's secret links with Tess:

OLIVER FLASHES BACK TO HIS DAYS ON THE ISLAND AND LEARNS MORE ABOUT HIS PARENTS' DEMISE — Oliver (Justin Hartley) collapses at a charity event and reveals he only has 24 hours to live. Clark (Tom Welling) and Chloe (Allison Mack) call Davis (Sam Witwer) for help but his prognosis is grim. Delirious, Oliver flashes back to when he was stranded on an island and first learned how to use a bow and arrow. He also recalls meeting Tess (Cassidy Freeman) for the first time on that island after she had been kidnapped by a drug runner. Meanwhile, Chloe decides to use her new powers to help save Oliver, shocking Clark.

[Smallville Spoilers]

And here's a new Canadian trailer for Thursday's season premiere, which includes a bit of new footage:

Also, Jimmy and Clark will become closer friends now that Clark is working at the Daily Planet. And Jimmy is pretty set on Chloe and ready to settle down and everything. [BuddyTV]

Sarah Connor Chronicles:

Here's the official synopsis of the fourth episode of the Terminator show, "Alison From Palmdale", plus a few promo photos:

A software glitch causes Cameron to forget who she is. She goes missing from the Connors and is taken in by a street kid named Jody. Cameron and Jody end up at a halfway house where Cameron meets with a social worker who uncovers some of Cameron’s distant memories. Meanwhile, Catherine Weaver meets with Agent Ellison to discuss his future at Zeira Corp, and Ellison does some digging into Weaver’s past.

Fringe:

Olivia's BF John is really dead, but you'll see that actor again, and meanwhile Olivia will have to deal with the fact that she let herself get pumped full of drugs to save this guy, who turned out to be a lying scumbag. We'll delve more into Walter's past, and explore the missing pieces of Walter's memories, and whether William Bell stole his inventions. You may want to track the weird images that appear at the end of each act, and the order in which they appear, because it may be a code. And there are definitely some bad people out there, and we'll run into some more of them as well.

And here's a synopsis for episode 4, "The Arrival," plus some promo pics:

After a deadly explosion rocks a construction site in New York City, Broyles solicits the aid of our unlikely threesome to investigate a strange cylinder mysteriously found at the scene completely unharmed by the surrounding devastation. After Olivia uncovers an unbelievable commonality between disturbing events, Dr. Bishop takes matters into his own hands and Peter is forced into field duty, it almost seems as if the untraceable object is triggering the series of odd behaviors, unexpected events and surprising revelations.

Lost:

We're meeting yet another batch of new characters in an upcoming Lost episode. A casting call went out for Tony, a tough guy who can take any order and execute it flawlessly — and the producers are hoping to get a stunt-man to play this part. They're also seeking actors to play Vincent, the white owner of a Tunisian bar who knows he's better than his colleagues and often gets in trouble because of it, not to mention his short temper and delusions of tough-guy-hood. And then there's Leon, a reserved, handsome, talented guy who's too much of a romantic for the realists he works with. [Doc Arzt]

Also, sources report Sterling Beaumon will be reprising his role as Young Ben in an upcoming Lost episode. And we may get to see Annie again as well. [SpoilersLost]

Stargate Atlantis:

Here are a couple of pics that have turned up of the mysterious Pegasus Galaxy race who turn up in the "First Contact/The Lost Tribe" two-parter. Rumor has it they have some connection to Stargate mythology. [Gateworld]

Knight Rider:

You might remember we got hold of some script pages from an episode where Mike gets poisoned and has to become a fake assassin to get the antidote? Here's the official synopsis for episode 3, "A Hard Day's Knight":

PIECES OF MIKE'S PAST ARE REVEALED AS A LETHAL POISON THREATENS HIS LIFE — When Mike (Justin Bruening) is lethally poisoned, he must fake the assassination of a billionaire tech mogul in order to secure the antidote. Bizarre hallucinations mark the return of the mysterious woman (guest star Paula Garces, "The Shield") from Mike's past with clues that may help him remember.

[Knight Rider Online]
