Under Siege 3: Alien Invasion?

With the recent success of movies and shows about superheroes, space travel and alien invasions, it seems like everyone is poised to jump on the science fiction bandwagon. And we’ve mentioned before that some TV shows could benefit from a little scifi boost. But can the magic touch of science fiction reignite a flagging franchise? Steven Seagal believes that extraterrestrials might be just the thing to spice up the next installment of Under Siege.

In a recent interview, Seagal told MTV News that he’s looking to do a third Under Siege film, and he’d like to add genre elements to keep up with the trends:

I personally want it to be something more modern. In other words, I wouldn’t mind if it was about something more mystical or maybe extraterrestrial in nature. Some real government top secrets instead of just the typical.

Real government secrets? Is there something that Seagal knows that we don’t beyond mere Roswell cover-ups and covert super-soldier programs?
