Fuller: If Pushing Daisies Wilts, I'm Going Back To HeroesIt was first raised as a possibility earlier this week, and now it's been confirmed by the man himself: If ABC's on-the-bubble showPushing Daisies doesn't get a full-season order by the beginning of next year, its creator Bryan Fuller is more than ready to rejoin the creative team behind NBC's ailing Heroes. The facts are these, Fuller told Entertainment Weekly's "Hollywood Insider" blog:
I am exclusive to Daisies through the delivery of the 13th episode of our 13-episode order, which will be mid-January... If Daisies isn't picked up by then, I will definitely be going back to play with my friends at Heroes.
EW suggests that, if Fuller did return to the troubled NBC show, then it would most likely only be as a consultant due to his critical success as a creator of Pushing Daisies, Dead Like Me and Wonderfalls. The question now is, would ABC throw a lifeline to the critically-acclaimed but low-rated Daisies just to keep Fuller away from NBC? (And another question is this: Does this mean that Fuller's dream of launching a new Star Trek TV show off the back of JJ Abrams' 2009 movie is dead?)
