How Big Can Goku's Mouth Get? And What's With The Timeline On Lost?

If only there were spoilers for your upcoming weekend, including the surprising reveal of whom you'll wake up next to on Sunday morning. It's just one of the many ways entertainment is better than real life. Today's spoilers include new synopses for two alien-robot movies: The Day The Earth Stood Still and Monsters Vs. Aliens. A new Dragonball poster gives yet another glimpse of Justin Chatwin's scenery-eating scowl as Goku. Cast members spilled tons of dirt on Lost season five. We have tons of footage from next Monday's Heroes, and a surprising look at Sylar in "Fugitives." There are casting calls for Dollhouse, Chuck, Sarah Connor and Fringe. Plus insane spoilers for Pushing Daisies and Supernatural. Spoilers: chipping away at the wall of life's uncertainty.

The Day The Earth Stood Still:

Here's a new description for the Keanu Reeves-starring remake, which is referred to as "the ultimate alien invasion movie":

A renowned scientist (Jennifer Connelly) finds herself face to face with an alien called Klaatu (Keanu Reeves), who has traveled across the universe to warn of an impending global crisis. She quickly discovers the deadly ramifications of Klaatu's claim that he is "a friend to the Earth." Now she must find a way to convince the entity who was sent to destroy us that mankind is worth saving - but it may be too late.

Dragonball:

You already know that the new live-action Dragonball movie will be teh awesome. But here's a new poster, being put out in shopping malls, to prove it anew. [DBTheMovie]

Monsters Vs. Aliens:

Here's a new (to me, anyway) plot synopsis:

When California girl Susan Murphy is unwittingly clobbered by a meteor full of outer space gunk on her wedding day, she mysteriously grows to 49-feet-11-inches tall. Alerted to the threat of this new monster, the military jumps into action and Susan is captured and secreted away to a covert government compound. There, she is renamed Ginormica and placed in confinement with a ragtag group of other monsters: the brilliant but insect-headed Dr. Cockroach, Ph.D.; the macho half-ape, half-fish The Missing Link; the gelatinous and indestructible B.O.B.; and the 350-foot grub called Insectosaurus. Their confinement is cut short, however, when a mysterious alien robot lands on Earth and begins storming the country. In a moment of desperation, The President is persuaded by General W.R. Monger to enlist the motley crew of Monsters to combat the Alien Robot and save the world from imminent destruction.

Dollhouse:

Joss Whedon's blank-brain-for-hire show is casting some characters for its eighth episode, "Needs" — which, absolutely, will air. You heard me. Anyway, we'll meet a new "Active," which is the show's word for one of the blank-headed agents: he's a handsome blond guy named Mike. Also, we'll meet a new handler, a sexy-but-tough woman named Sophie. Also, there's a tough Army surplus store owner named Jimmy, and a forty-something named Nolan, who's "handsome and respectable, with a touch of something not right." [SpoilerTV]

Lost:

What happens to Sun and Jin in season five? "My character's been isolated," says Yunjin Kim. "And she's scheming up all kinds of things. You get to see a new side of Sun." Also, there's tons of action in season five, says Daniel Dae Kim. And there are a lot of timelines going on at once. [EW via Doc Arzt]

Meanwhile, in this week's print copy of EW, there are hints that new character Amy (Reiko Aylesworth) may be someone from the early days of Dharma, if it's true that Ben really transported the island back to the 1970s. One things for sure: Amy will have some complications with her suitors. Plural. [EW]

Plus here's an ABC Winter promo that includes Lost. Clean-cut Jack!

Heroes:

Another set of set pics from next spring's "Fugitives" arc. Remember how we heard that you'll be surprised by who's doing the chasing, and who's being chased? Looks like one of the people doing the hunting is our buddy Sylar. Here he is, dressed in a commando outfit with a swat team, carrying a guy over his shoulder. Why does the captured guy have a weird burglar alarm thing around his neck? More pics at the link. [The ODI]

And here are four new clips from Monday's episode, plus some behind the scenes footage:

Sarah Connor Chronicles:

In the Dec. 1 episode, "Strange Things Happen At The One-Two Point," Sarah finally gets on the trail of the Turk, that chess-playing computer. Jesse's plans "complicate matters." And Weaver introduces James Ellison to someone important. [Terminator Wiki]

Also, there's a new casting call for the as-yet-untitled sixteenth episode. The show is looking for an overgrown party girl in her mid thirties with a pleasant demeanor, Dana. Also casting: a strapping, no-nonsense hospital nurse, Nurse Hobson. And Hector, a Mexican ex-gang-member trying to make a fresh start as a janitor. And finally, there's a male hospital night technician in his thirties. [SpoilerTV]

Fringe:

The weird-science show is looking for someone to play Mr. Kohl in its eleventh episode. He's a distinguished attorney for high-level white-collar criminals, who's either English or German. [SpoilerTV]

Chuck:

Some casting calls for episode 2x16, "Chuck Vs. The Lethal Weapon." The episode includes Howard Busgang, a brilliant research scientist from the Department of Defense who's short and bald. Plus an evil killer named Duncan and the womanizing Italian trade minister, Paolo, who has three children. [SpoilerTV]

And here's a new trailer for Monday's episode:

Pushing Daisies:

Here's what happens in episode 2.09, "Candle On The Water":

Ned and Chuck deal with the traumatic return of someone from their past, while Emerson, assisted by Olive, investigates the odd death of lighthouse keeper Nora McQuoddy, whose murder could expose some of Papen County's stranger secrets.

[SpoilerTV]

Supernatural:

Next week, in the second half of the big angel-centric two-parter, the brothers have to deal with the fact that they've got these two different factions on their ass — Heaven and Hell — and what they can do to get on with their lives in the face of that fact. Also, we'll learn, finally, exactly what happened to Dean in Hell. [Sci Fi Wire]

Additional research by Katharine Duckett.
