If there's one thing I Am Legend didn't need, it's a prequel. And if there's anything I Am Legend needed even less, it's a sequel. Nevertheless, rumor has it the studio has rejected Will Smith's plan to make a prequel about his character, Robert Neville, dealing with the beginnings of the deadly plague. Instead, the studio wants a sequel — starring Smith, presumably.
