A Bizarre Star Trek Rumor That You May Wish Was True

Did a Wondercon panel give away major Star Trek dirt? Also, there are tantalizing details about Robert Rodriguez's Nerveracker. Plus pics and giveaways from Wolverine, Dragonball, BSG, Reaper, Terminator:SCC, Lost, Chuck, Smallville and Supernatural.

Star Trek:

You know that the new movie features Old Spock and an evil Romulan, Nero, traveling back in time from the TNG era to screw with Kirk's timeline, right? And IDW is publishing a prequel comic that introduces Nero during the TNG era? Apparently during the IDW panel at Wondercon, one comic writer said the prequel series ends with a cliffhanger, which continues during the first four minutes of the actual movie. And another panelist said some of the TNG cast would appear at the start of the new movie - before the other panelists shushed him/her. This seems highly dubious to me, and I'm taking this with a bit of a grain of salt. And it's already been debunked by TrekMovie. But here you go, anyway. [Latino Review via CinemaBlend]

X-Men Origins: Wolverine:

A few new promo pics of Wolvie looking intense. Bigger versions at the link. [XMF via SpoilerTV]

Dragonball Evolution:

Bulma is "spunky" and "cheerful," says Emmy Rossum. And don't forget this is an adaptaition, or maybe a retelling, of the comic, and it's more universal than the Japanese original, says Justin Chatwin. It's "the hero's journey" featuring dragonballs. And Goku only does the kamehameha once in the movie, at a really important part of the story. [DB The Movie]

Nerveracker:

Some more plot details on Robert Rodriguez's next movie, coming April 16, 2010. It's the year 2085 and we meet Joe Tezca, who's part of an elite unit sent in to stop a crime wave in this perfect society. And in the process, he realizes "nerverackers" are on a rampage, seeking control over the city. Tezca has to uncover the cover-up by the city's ruling elite and stop the nerverackers before it's too late. [FirstShowing]

Doctor Who:

Ex-Eastenders star Dean Gaffney Twittered that he's filming Doctor Who right now. [Den Of Geek]

Battlestar Galactica:

More on the "does Starbuck get closure at the series' end?" question. Katee Sackhoff, herself, says Starbuck does actually get the much-needed closure. But she adds that even after the finale airs, some people will still think Starbuck is a Cylon: "I'm just going to go ahead and let them believe what they want because there's nothing I could say that's going to convince anyone otherwise," Sackhoff said. "And, the funny thing is, I can honestly say that at the very end of it, people are still going to think it. There's always someone out there that thinks that she is." [L.A. Times]

Lost:

In episode 5x09, "Namaste," rumor has it we'll see Ben and Sun return with Frank, but things don't go as they planned. Christian Shephard shows the other members of the Oceanic Six, plus Jin, dressed in Dharma suits, in an old 1970s photo. Amy, whom we meet in episode 5x08, is Ethan's mother. And a source claims Amy is Amelia, the book-club member we met in the season three premiere. Also in 5x09, Jin and Sawyer supposedly have an "emotional" reunion with the first half of the O6. [The ODI]

And here are the UK and Canadian trailers for Wednesday's episode:

And Ryan from Hawaii Weblog shared some filming pics, from a couple of UK-set scenes. Some kind of academic ceremony at Oxford featuring Daniel and Eloise, and an indoor restaurant scene featuring Daniel. [Ryan's Flickr Stream via SpoilersLost]

Malcolm David Kelley would like to come back as Walt, but it doesn't sound like he knows of any plans for that to happen. [E! Online]

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles:

Garret Dillahunt confirms that his character, John Henry, is Skynet. That's something we hadn't heard for certain, right? (I had assumed it, but was it confirmed?) And when John Henry finally gets in a fight, he'll discover his own weaknesses. It sounds like he gets his ass kicked by another Terminator. Also, possibly some new footage in the background:

Chuck:

A few promo shots from tonight's episode where Jeff and Lester try to do a "casting couch" instead of a normal hiring process at the Buy More. I think whoever decided to highlight this subplot in marketing this episode a dreadful mistake. Every time I see Jeff in that bathrobe, I shudder. [SpoilerTV]

And here's what happens in the March 23 episode, "Chuck Vs. The Predator":

CHUCK DOESN'T KNOW WHO TO TRUST ANYMORE WHEN HE FINDS THE CREATOR OF THE INTERSECT-TONY HALE ("ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT") GUEST STARS-After Chuck (Zachary Levi) is contacted by the mastermind behind the Intersect Computer, he must decide who he can trust-Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski) and Casey (Adam Baldwin) or the mysterious scientist who might be able to erase the Intersect from his mind. Meanwhile, a conflict breaks out between the Burbank Buy More and the more prestigious Beverly Hills branch.

[SpoilerTV]

And here's our first official look at Scott Bakula as Chuck's dad, and Chevy Chase as Bakula's software mogul rival. [EW via ChuckTV and Zachary-Levi]

Heroes:

In the March 2 episode, the Hunter strongly suspects Nathan has super-powers, and sets his sights on eliminating Peter and Matt. Also, in an upcoming scene, the Hunter teams up with Sylar to track down a shapeshifter in a crowded nightclub. [TV Guide via Watching Heroes]

Smallville:

Here's what happens in episode 8x16, "Turbulence":

Tess (Cassidy Freeman) invites Clark (Tom Welling) to a press conference in New York but when an explosion rocks the private jet they are on, Clark must figure out how to save them without Tess learning his secret. Unbeknown to Clark, Tess orchestrated the explosion to get Clark to reveal his powers. Meanwhile, Davis (Sam Witwer) discovers a surprising way to control the monster within.

And here's a new promo for "Infamous." [OSCK]

Supernatural:

Here's the official description for the March 19 episode, "On The Head Of A Pin," written by Ben Edlund:

Someone found Lucifer's sword and is using it to kill angels. Castiel (Misha Collins) and Uriel (guest star Robert Wisdom) have captured Alastair (guest star Christopher Heyerdahl) and ask Dean (Jensen Ackles) to use the torturing skills he learned in Hell to extract information from him so they can stop the murders. Sam (Jared Padalecki) is concerned Dean can't handle the job but Dean agrees to do it. However, when Alastair reveals some shocking information, Dean's world is shattered.

[SF Universe]

Reaper:

In the new season, Sock falls in love with his new stepsister, and Ben falls for the demon who was sent to attack Sam, but he doesn't want to tell Sam it's the same demon who attacked him. Sam spends most of the season trying to track down Alan, the soul who escaped, but Alan wants nothing to do with Sam because he thinks Sam is evil — everybody knows Sam is the Devil's son, and there's a demon rebellion after Sam and they all think he's evil.

And there's an episode where a guy named Billy gets hit by a truck while he's undressing a woman with his eyes, and he goes to Hell. He breaks out, and Sam and friends discover he's a virgin. He begs them to get him laid before they send him back, so they spend the episode trying to get him laid. Also, when we meet Sam's half-brother Morgan, he's more evil and suaver, but also dimwitted. He's not interested in learning the family business, and bribes Sam $20,000 to capture a soul and give Morgan the credit.

Also, Andi thinks Sam is enjoying his job too much and going to the dark side. Amy and Sam eventually break up, but there's a twist by the end of the season that may put Andi and Sam on "similar ground." [Sci Fi Wire]

Here's what happens in episode 2x03, "The Sweet Science":

Ben (Rick Gonzalez) would like to introduce Nina (Jenny Wade) to Sam (Bret Harrison) and Sock (Tyler Labine), but he's concerned they won't accept her because she's a demon. Andi (Missy Peregrym) discovers Sock has created a fake employee at the Work Bench to double his salary, but when he refuses to fix the situation the two go head-to-head in a battle of wits. Meanwhile, The Devil (Ray Wise) tells Sam he must send a prizefighter from the fifties (guest star Erik Palladino, "ER") back to hell by getting in the ring with him and knocking him out.

Plus a new promo and clip! [Reapersite]
