Picture Deliverance mixed with I Spit On Your Grave, only featuring aliens, and directed by the guy who did Snakes On A Plane. That's Humpty Dumpty, a 3-D horror film that's just gotten greenlit by Mark Ordesky's new production company, Amber Entertainment. David R. Ellis, who just directed Final Destination 2 in addition to Snakes, will helm the movie, from a script by Billy Majestic. According to Variety, Humpty Dumpty is about "a half-human, half-alien creature who embarks on a murderous rampage after his alien mother is abused by two rednecks in the Deep South." It's not entirely clear, from that description, if the half-alien creature is the son of the rednecks who abused his mother, or if the creature has a different human father. Either way, it all sounds in the worst possible taste, which means it'll probably be great. The film starts production in September, and will get some kind of debut at Cannes next year. Because it's art. [Variety]
