Remember the original scene of witches rolling about with demon Jack Nicholson on Satanic satin sheets? I have a strange feeling ABC's new Witches Of Eastwick will be all talk and no walk. Take a look at the first trailer and clips from the new supernatural series.

It looks like it's the same premise as the original movie and the novel by John Updike, but these clips aren't really getting me excited. For one, Rebecca Romijn isn't really selling me on her character's "I'm the sexual one" attitude. Also, can we please stop with the "Once women get power they start dressin' all slutty" idea, please? It's insulting, and doesn't make any sense. If you could make men do whatever you wanted with your mind powers, why bother with the tousled hair, push up bra and smoky make up? Unless you were making them DO your hair and make up.... but that's a horse of a different color.

Besides that, though, I'm interested to see where ABC is going to take this. As of late, there have been two types of shows on that channel: serious dramas, and super light TV. This could straddle both sides of the fence, but it looks like it's going more down the path of Samantha Who. So we can probably kiss goodbye any more action than what you see below from the new super sexy demon:

The show will air this fall on Wednesday on ABC.
