These last ten years may have seemed busy to you, but just be glad you're not a comic book character: Their decade has seen multiple alien invasions and reboots of reality. Relive the biggest headlines of their decade with us.

Looking over a decade of superhero storylines, it's easy to see two things: The repetition of ideas, and the genre trying to come to grips with what's happening in the real world (and often failing badly); just look at the increase of terrorist attacks post-9/11. The headlines below - matched to publication date where possible - may not be exactly how the last ten years played out in the real world, but it's possibly the way it happened in our collective subconscious.
