News broke yesterday that Logan Lerman was one of the actors being considered for Peter Parker in Sony's Spidey reboot. We caught up with Lerman at the Lightning Thief premiere and tried tapping into his Spidey senses.

When we asked him about the news, he was extremely cautious about revealing anything at all, which is understandable knowing the way the internet has their way with rumors - so clearly he's the next Peter Parker, run with it!

It's any actor's dream to be considered for that role. Even to be considered for Spider-Man, and I'm just hoping I am.

Access Hollywood broke the news yesterday that the brand new demigod Lerman was a contender for the new Spider-Man franchise.

"It's just, you know, conversations are starting. It's a long process with the studio and the producers and everything. But it's definitely a project that I'm really interested in, of course," he told Billy. "I'd love to focus on the human element a little bit more. It'd be such a fun experience."

Rumors then stated that he was the lead contender started popping up alongside this announcement. But the trades stated he was still one of many being considered, and no offer has been made.

Taking a look at his past movies, Lerman certainly does have the resume to star in a tent-pole action film. He was Christian Bale's son in 3:10 To Yuma, and starred next to Drew Barrymore in Riding in Cars with Boys, but his break out role was in The Patriot. It seems like this actor was already teetering towards a big break, and you know how Hollywood is always looking for a new fresh face to star in their big properties.

But until we know more you'll have to catch him in his urban fantasy production Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief.

What do you think - could he be your teen Peter Parker?
