The Oscars have wrapped, but there's still plenty of science fiction goodness waiting for you on the small screen this week. Brace yourself for new Lost, Chuck , Caprica — and next year's surefire Best Picture winner, Roger Corman's insatiable Dinoshark!


Monday 3/8/10

At 8 PM, a new Chuck debuts on NBC - "Chuck Vs The Beard."

Chuck feels like his life is falling apart when he can't flash and gets left behind for a mission. While Shaw, Sarah and Casey (Adam Baldwin) go on without him, Chuck finds himself in a sticky situation back at the base

Other premieres include two episodes of Monster (10 & 10:30 PM) on Syfy.

In terms of movies, there's a doubleheader of Back To The Future Part II and Back To The Future Part III beginning at 8 PM on Encore. Make like a tree and watch it, butthead!

Tuesday 3/9/10

Your Tuesday night Lost fix this week is "Dr Linus." Will Ben join Smokey's band of overt crazies or Jacob's coterie of emotionally manipulated nutjobs? We're leaning towards the latter.

There's also an awesome sounding NOVA rerun on PBS at 8 PM ("Master of the Killer Ants -The Mofu shaman in the Mandaras Mountains of northern Cameroon calls on the Jaglavak army ant to fight off an invasion of termites"), plus Joe Dante's Matinee is on HBO Family at 10 PM. Respect the Mant!

Wednesday - 3/10/10

A new episode of Human Target hits Fox at 8 PM. This episode is "Salvage & Reclamation" - Christopher Chance must save his ex from bounty hunters and South American military forces.

Thursday 3/11/10

Amanda's life spirals out of control as she begins to see visions of her brother, who died years earlier. As a result, Clarice sees an opportunity to gain her trust and we learn a dark secret from Amanda's past that could have major implications for her life with Daniel.

Plus They Live is on AMC at 2 AM! And One-Eyed Monster is on The Movie Channel at 1 AM! What is One-Eyed Monster? An alien takes over Ron Jeremy's disembodied penis and it starts killing campers. Seriously.

Syfy's holding an aquatic monster marathon in anticipation of Dinoshark at 9 PM. Here's a synopsis:

"Global warming causes the glaciers to break apart," Corman explains. "We start the picture with real beautiful shots of the glaciers falling into the ocean. The unborn egg of the Dinoshark that has been frozen for millions of years is released."

There's no Futurama of the week. Why's this? Comedy Central's airing a rock-solid Futurama marathon from 4-9 PM! "Bender Should Not Be Allowed on Television" will be included! Hooray!
