Will Smith To Star As The First Vampire Ever: Cain, From The Bible!

Cain, of "Cain and Abel" Biblical fame, is just one of the many mythical origins of the vampire. And who better to star in his blockbuster biopic than The Fresh Prince? That's right, people: Will Smith is the original vampire.

Deadline is reporting that:

Will Smith has attached himself to star in and produce The Legend Of Cain, an epic re-telling of the Biblical sibling tale, this time with a vampiric twist. Smith will play Cain, the original Bad Boy, and he will produce with Overbrook Entertainment partners Jada Pinkett Smith (his wife), James Lassiter, and Ken Stovitz.

We'll let "original Bad Boy" soak in for a minute. Sheesh.

There are many vampire origins stories, and the Mark of Cain version has been around for a long time — it's even inspired a few video games. As the legend goes, after Cain murdered his brother Abel, he was "marked" by God. Cain wandered the earth until he came upon the other cursed one, Lilith, Adam's first wife who was kicked out of Eden for not being a subservient wife to Adam. Cain and Lilith hooked up and together their "cursed" abilities created lots of powerful demonic babies, or what we now call vampires. I know what you're thinking: Will Smith is just PERFECT for this role. Can DJ Jazzy Jeff play Abel?

The film is still in the very early production series, but we wish they'd fast track it right now.
