Hollywood's obsession with the shaky cam claims another genre: superheroesS

Don't get us wrong — when done well, the shaky-cam can be a thrill and a half. But we're not 100% sure how the superhero will fare against an all-shaky-cam movie, Chronicle. It's written by famed director John Landis' son.

THR is reporting that Fox is in negotiations to make Max Landis' superhero spec script, Chronicle. What's is about?

The story focuses on the lives of three Portland teens that become exposed to a mysterious substance in the woods, and, as a result, begin to develop incredible powers. They work together to hone their skills for fun, until personal and family problems begin to turn them against one another.

And the entire thing is going to be shot documentary-style. Is this is in hopes of making the film seem more realistic? As to whether it'll work, only time — and the camera worker's hand strength — will tell. Are you ready for another shaky-cam movie, or were Cloverfield and Paranormal Activity plenty?
