The Avengers probably aren't fighting aliens after all, plus new Real Steel photos and the inside scoop on Source Code!

A rumored storyline for The Avengers is debunked. Jake Gyllenhaal talks Source Code, plus set photos for Real Steel and the motherlode of V videos. Spoilers right now!

The Avengers

Anyone hoping the Albuquerque Journal somehow had acquired the inside information that this movie will be about a Kree-Skrull war...well, prepare to be disappointed. That information, as you might expect, did not come from Marvel Studios, and was in fact just a research error on the part of the newspaper, accidentally reporting one rumored plot as the movie's actual storyline. It should be pointed out that Marvel hasn't actually denied the basic facts of the original report, so it's not impossible that this might end up being true after all... but there isn't a shred of hard evidence to back that up.
