Peter Parker and Gwen Stacy get romantic, in new set photos from the Spider-Man reboot. Mad Men's January Jones explains the challenges of becoming Emma Frost. Plus Ouija Board gets a director, a True Blood casting sheet, and more!
We now have our first look at the new Peter Parker with these photos that show Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone together on set — including some kisses between Peter and Gwen Stacy. There are more photos at the link: [JustJared]
X-Men: First Class
Emma Frost portrayer January Jones talks about her costumes, in the process confirming that we will see Emma Frost's lesser-known ability to turn herself into a diamond form:
"The costumes are insane. It's a lot of very body-conscious stuff. If you look at the comic book, she's barely dressed. She's got quite the bod, which is very intimidating. I don't have to do all the crazy prosthetics. When I morph into my diamond form, it's all done on computer."
She also explains her reaction when she realized the film is set contemporary to her other big gig, Mad Men:
"When I heard that this installment of ‘X-Men' was gonna take place in the '60s I was like, ‘Oh my God, you must be kidding me!' But I read the script and familiarized myself with the character of Emma Frost. She's so, so far from Betty and from ‘Mad Men,' and it takes place in that time but it doesn't feel like a period movie."
And, finally, she discusses the comics research she did on Emma's backstory, and how she hopes comics fans will like what she brings to the character:
"Emma was a bespectacled, mousy child who had this power when she was young that she couldn't quite harness, the telepathy, the mind-twisting stuff. She had a falling out with her father and went her own direction. Fans of the X-Men comics have a very set idea of these characters in their heads. I wanted to know as much as I could about her so I wasn't disappointing anyone. I'm sure I will still disappoint someone."

J.J. Abrams' science fiction homage to Steven Spielberg has been retitled Darlings for its Brazilian trailer. Although it's possible the film has actually had a name change, I'd guess this is purely its title for certain international markets, where the meaning of Super 8 is lost on the foreign audiences. (Whether American audiences actually still get the meaning of the term is admittedly still an open question.) [MovieWeb.com]

There's a rumor going around that Arnold Schwarzenegger could command $30 million for voiceover work in a fifth, animated Terminator film. This rumor is pretty much definitely false, because it's just a new spin on the Terminator 3000 project that was shot down a few months back. [Examiner.com]
The Hasbro board game adaptation, with a screenplay by the writers of Tron Legacy that's supposedly in the Indiana Jones mold, has reportedly picked up a director: McG, he of Charlie's Angels and Terminator Salvation fame. [Deadline]

Morena Baccarin interviewed her TV mother Jane Badler, and they revealed this intriguing tidbit for an upcoming episode: [TV Guide]
Baccarin: In an upcoming episode the Vs visit the Vatican, and you get to do a very lizardy-type thing. Can you talk about it?
Badler: I get fangs and do a mercy killing in front of you. They had blood all over me. I love doing stuff like that. When I first read that in the script, I said, "Yeah!"
Elizabeth Mitchell reveals that Erica is going to make some major mistakes while leading the Fifth Column this year:
"The [mistakes] have a massive effect, and people get hurt. Some other things that she does are quite effective. As the season goes on, she's willing to risk more and more."
Here's an Entertainment Tonight piece on the show, featuring Morena Baccarin: [The V-Files]
Laura Vandervoort explains how her character Lisa and Elizabeth Mitchell's Erica get closer this season:
The fact that we are working together more, I think the audience will understand what that means. [laughs] I think she sees Erica more as a mother figure than Anna (Morena Baccarin) ever was to her, and because she is feeling emotions, just having Erica there to listen to her and be affectionate to her and give her a hug when she needs one...she never had that from her mother. So she's pretty partial to the human race and to Erica in particular. And you know, they are working together in certain ways as well. [laughs]
