The Battlestar Galactica prequel, Blood and Chrome, has chosen its younger William Adama, Luke Pasqualino. Does this young actor have the snuff to become the famous Cylon-slayer and defender of humanity, Admiral Adama? Take a closer look.
EW is reporting that Pasqualino has been cast in the new Syfy BSG prequel Blood & Chrome, which will feature a young William Adama during the Cylon wars. It's also noting that Ben Cotton (of the popular Riese web series) will play Coker, the "battle-weary officer to whom he will report."
We posted some details of the script for this prequel the other day. But here's a little snippet from the official character description:
Pasqualino will star as the young, talented fighter pilot William Adama, a recent Academy graduate who finds himself assigned to the newest Battlestar in the Colonial fleet: the Galactica. Full of ambition and in pursuit of the intense action that the Cylon war promises, Adama quickly finds himself at odds with Coker (Cotton), the battle-weary officer to whom he reports. With 45 days left in his tour of duty, Coker desires an end to battle just as much as Adama craves the start of it. Though they clash at first, the two men forge an unlikely bond when a routine mission turns dangerous and becomes a pivotal one for the desperate fleet.
Still no air date yet, but the series will premiere like the last BSG, with a 2-hour TV movie.
