Buffy writers' fairytale police procedural had better be COPS with trolls

First NBC backed Ron Moore's Harry Potter for adults series (17th Precinct), then ABC greenlit Poe, the Edgar Allan Poe period police procedural, now comes Grimm the fairytale cop show. What's next, Law & Order: Mother Goose?

Entertainment Weekly is reporting that Jim Kouf (Angel) and David Greenwalt (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) have penned the latest magical cop drama, Grimm. Which is being described as a, "dark but fantastical cop drama about a world in which characters inspired by Grimm's Fairy Tales exist."

With the plethora of fantasy cop shows coming to our screens, let's hope this series will be exceptionally dark. Like COPS with a naked elf junkie running around in the magical trailer park. Hell, as long as it's half as funny as Adam Green's series Fairy Tale Police (below) we're in good hands.
