One of the four space shuttles could soon be appearing at a museum near you. NASA has decided which institutions will win the fierce competition to host the Enterprise, the Endeavour, the Atlantis and the Discovery.

NASA has announced the retirement homes of the four remaining space shuttles, ending a period of intense lobbying by various states and institutions. Manhattan's Intrepid Museum will house the Enterprise, the Endeavour will reside in Los Angeles, at the California Science Center, and the Atlantis will rest at Florida's Kennedy Space Center. The Discovery's final home was already decided three years ago: The Smithsonian's Udvar-Hazy Center near Washington DC.
