The first-ever photos of a space shuttle docked at the International Space Station

The space shuttle Endeavour has taken its final bow, but its last mission also marks the first time a space shuttle has ever been photographed while docked to the International Space Station.

Endeavour returned from its final flight last week, and the mission has been captured for posterity. While the shuttle was docked, Italian astronaut Paolo Nespoli left the station aboard a Russian Soyuz spacecraft and took these photographs during his departure.

Now, cue up the Deep Space Nine theme music (or, if you prefer, Babylon 5), and reminisce about the good times Endeavour had while docked to the ISS.
