Television is about to get interesting again! Doctor Who's coming back soon, and BBC America is celebrating with a look at Matt Smith's tenure as the Doctor. And meanwhile, Firefly's Jewel Staite is back in action, staving off Doomsday.

But that's not all that television has in store for you this week! There's also two separate documentaries about how to become a real-life superhero. And a super-secret look inside the real lives of exorcist priests. Find out whether we're prepared for an alien invasion, with Michelle Rodriguez. And watch will.i.am team up with Dean Kamen (and Justin Bieber!) to promote science education.

Today:

Cartoon Network's Monday night animation bloc is back once again. First at 7 PM, there's a new Johnny Test, "Johnny's World Prank War I":

Everyone tries to win the Super Duper Pranking World Super Cup. Johnny's Dad tries to put a stop to it, as it's destroying his tidy house!

That's followed at 7:30 by a new The Amazing World of Gumball — see clip at left — in which:

Gumball and Darwin are invited to a high school party, and have to bring a date!

And then at 8 PM there's a new Adventure Time, in which Princess Bubblegum tries to usurp the throne of the Land of Ooo.

At 8 PM, Syfy has a new Eureka, and we've got a brand new clip from the episode. Here's what Syfy wants us to know about it:

This week in Eureka, Zoe and Jo are discussing Jo's relationship with Zane and how time is a tricky thing, all while Zoe is arguing that Jo started something back up with him while knowing she was interested. Jo tries to explain and the conversation escalates until Zoe urges her to stop. She was really trying to get her to stop the car as they arrive on a scene you won't expect.

There's a new Warehouse 13 at 9 PM on Syfy, and there's a brand new clip from it as well. Here's what Syfy tells us:

Pete and Myka are out trying to track down an artifact in the form of a trumpet. They contact Claudia on the Farnsworth as they know the artifact was at their location many years ago. Claudia confirms but it's not the same artifact now as it was altered to become more powerful and just struck down a helicopter.

Also at 9 PM: HBO has a new special called Superheroes, about the real-life citizen superheroes who are the reason why we need the services of R.O.A.C.H. so badly. Here's how HBO sells it:

They patrol the dark and dangerous streets, seeking out criminals, evildoers and villains, veiled in secret identities... They call themselves Real-Life Superheroes, and they are out to save humanity. Superheroes is a journey inside the world of real-life caped crusaders. From all over America, these everyday citizens don masks, homemade costumes and elaborate utility belts in an attempt to bring justice to evildoers everywhere.

And then at 10 PM, there's another episode of Alphas, and check out a brand new clip at left. Syfy says:

The Alphas teaser clip shows the team will continue to track down alphas even if they're unaware of how their powers can be maintainted. However, in the next episode, they may have a bit more help as Lindsay Wagner guest stars.

Yes, it's a surprising Alphas/Warehouse 13 crossover!

There's also a new Teen Wolf on MTV at 10 PM, in which: "A winter formal is held at the school; Scott struggles to protect both his friends and enemies while also keeping his secret safe from Allison."

Tuesday:

At 9 PM, there's a new episode of The Nine Lives of Chloe King on ABC Family, "Responsible."

A teenager who's dating an older guy takes Chloe's advice, which backfires and puts the girl in harm's way. Elsewhere, tension between Alek and Brian reaches a breaking point; and Jasmine makes a grave error when she gets sidetracked from her duties.

Wednesday:

There's a new Iron Man: Armored Adventures on Nicktoons at 8:30 PM.

At 9 PM, there's a new Wonders of the Universe on Science, "The Known and the Unknown." In which we find that, "Gravity, the great orchestrator of the cosmos, is relatively weak."

Thursday:

At 8:30 PM, there's an all-new Voltron Force on Nicktoons, and we've got a brand new clip. Here's what Nicktoons wants you to know about it:

At 9 PM, the National Geographic Channel has a special, Make Me Superhuman:

Superhuman capabilities like running faster than a speeding bullet or being more powerful than a locomotive could be available at the push of a button. NGC explores the latest in wearable mechanical getups, designed to duplicate human movement with enhanced strength and locomotion. See how these futuristic suits are being used for medical, military, industrial and recreational uses.

And there's another new Futurama at 10 PM on Comedy Central, "Fry Am The Egg Man," in which "Fry nurtures an alien egg out of which hatches a monster." And Fry reportedly says, "You can't sit on something for a week without falling in love with it." Check out a brief arm-ripping clip at left.

Also at 10 PM: another new Wilfred! on FX, "Anger."

And a third option at 10 PM is a new Ancient Aliens on the History Channel. An embarrassment of riches!

And then at 10:30 PM, Comedy Central has a new episode of Ugly Americans, "Wall Street."

Friday:

At 8:30 PM, there's an all-new episode of Disney's science-geek high school show A.N.T. Farm, "replicANT."

Chyna has her eye on a new student in the A.N.T. Farm named Nigel who is from England and using a robot to attend school remotely. After Chyna invites Nigel to go roller skating, Fletcher gets jealous and, along with Angus, devises a plan to sabotage Chyna's date. Meanwhile, Darryl challenges Olive and Cameron to see who has the top Donkey King arcade game score.

Also at 8:30 PM, the new ThunderCats series features another episode, "Song of the Petalars." In which "lizard assassins hunt the team."

At 10 PM, there's a new installment of Torchwood: Miracle Day on Starz, "The Middle Men."

Jack is left on his own when the rest of the team ends up trapped on different continents. However, time is running out and leaving him no choice than to go straight to the heart of the conspiracy.

Also at 10 PM, Syfy has a new Haven, "Roots." For some reason, Syfy never releases information or clips on this show early enough for us to include it.

At 11 PM, G4 has all-new episodes of Iron Man Anime and Wolverine Anime.

Saturday:

BBC America is showing the first three episodes of Battlestar Galactica season two, from 6 PM to 9 PM.

And then at 9 PM, BBC America has a brand new special, Doctor Who: Best of the Doctor. Here's what to expect:

An in-depth look at the very best of the eleventh Doctor, Matt Smith. A collection of fans from the celebrity, comedy, sci-fi and digital words discuss their favorite moments from Doctor Who season 5 and the first half of season 6.

A book editor (Supernatural's A.J. Buckley) and an archeologist (Firefly's Jewel Staite) hunt down a mysterious author of prophetic novels. When the writer is found dead, the editor obtains a device enabling him to see the future - an impending geological nightmare that will tear apart the planet.

Sunday:

At 7 PM, ABC has a new special, i.am.FIRST: Science is Rock and Roll. ABC explains:

The Black Eyed Peas front man/entrepreneur/tech wizard, will.i.am pairs up with inventor/FIRST founder Dean Kamen for i.am.FIRST — Science is Rock and Roll, a groundbreaking, one-hour special promoting education, science and technology. The first of its kind, the special takes an inside, up close look at the 20th Annual FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Championship, a worldwide science and robotics K-12 competition that celebrates technology and features live performances by The Black Eyed Peas and Willow Smith, as well as special appearances from a host of high profile celebrities speaking out to support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) education. ...

i.am.FIRST – Science is Rock and Roll is an electric hour of highlights from the 20th Annual FIRST® Robotics Championship. At the FIRST event , will.i.am, Aneesh Chopra, Assistant to the President and Chief Technology Officer of the U.S., along with 30,000 students, fans, families, educators and industry leaders came together at the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis, MO to celebrate the engineering prowess of talented students from around the world. And then at 8 PM, the Discovery Channel's Curiosity asks, "Alien Invasion: Are We Ready?" (And presumably the whole show is just an hour of people shaking their heads slowly and looking slightly stunned that anybody's even asking that question.) The special is hosted by Michelle Rodriguez, who's been through more alien invasions than anybody — both as an invader and as an invadee. Check out a brief promo video.

There's also another new True Blood on HBO at 9 PM, "Spellbound."

Bill and Marnie get ready for an open confrontation. The King secures the loyalty of Sookie and Eric. Jason is conflicted emotionally. A spirit manipulates Lafayette for its own purposes. Sam must again deal with an enemy.

Or you could watch a new Discovery Channel special, The Exorcist Files, which documents real life experiences of exorcists, in collaboration with the Catholic Church. At least, it was a collaboration until the Catholic Church started to back away quietly.

Also at 9 PM: a new Leverage, "The Grave Digger Job," followed by a second episode, "The Boiler Room Job."

Also at 10 PM, there's a new Breaking Bad on AMC, "Shotgun."
