Awesome X-Men fashion goes beyond spandex and ruby-red visors

Mutant haute couture tends to begin and end with leather jackets, pouches, not-battlefield-worthy corsets, and blue-and-yellow school uniforms that leave nothing to the imagination.

Artists Kevin Wada and Max Wittert have decided to put some more outfits in the X-Women's armoires. These new costumes are stylish enough to placate even the most inconsolable berserker rage.

First off, let's start with Kevin Wada's redesigns. I'm particularly loving Callisto's monocle eyepatch and Shadowcat's phased ruffles.

And here are Max Wittert's costumes. He's given them more of steamy discotheque look. Some of these characters have an American Apparel thing going on — see Spiral, Storm, and Psylocke, whose outfit isn't any worse than usual — but Dazzler's roller skate high heels? Fuck to the yes. FYI, Storm's outfit is NSFW.
