The computer generated effects on Fox's Terra Nova are some of the most ambitious ever created — especially for a weekly TV show. But you probably didn't realize quite how much of the sets and backdrops on the show were created using CG.

We've got an exclusive look at the effects reel created by international visual effects company Pixomondo — which shows how they inserted dinosaurs into some of the show's ambitious action sequences. Including a guy getting yanked out of a jeep, and a dinosaur crashing out of the jungle. The whole thing gives you a new level of respect for the technical challenges involved in making this prehistoric world come to life. (Pixomondo also did a lot of the VFX work for Martin Scorsese's upcoming Hugo.)
