Beloved Doctor Who scribe scores his own time travel movie

Screenwriter Richard Curtis — who directed Love Actually and penned the beautiful and heartbreaking Doctor Who episode "Vincent and the Doctor," Notting Hill, and Four Weddings and A Funeral — is finally giving us more science fiction. Curtis is currently writing (and planning to direct) his own time-travel feature film, which will shoot sometime this year.

The Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Curtis is behind the dramedy About Time. While there's still no news on the movie's plot, we're fairly certain that Curtis' name will bring in some amazing actors. Even though Pirate Radio was a flop, it's just one flick in a mountain of superior screenplays and one holiday staple. Fingers crossed for a giant ensemble cast with appearances from Martin Freeman and Hugh Grant.
