Syfy buys pilot for time-traveling anti-terrorism series Rewind

Looks like Syfy has added one more show to their rapidly depleting list of scripted series. Their latest purchase is Rewind, a show about a time-traveling anti-terrorist unit who tries to change the past to alter their terrible future. It's written by Justin Marks from Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li.

Syfy has ordered a two-hour pilot for Rewind. Here's the official rundown courtesy of Deadline.

Rewind, which has received an order for a two-hour pilot, revolves around a team of military field operatives and civilian scientists who must use untested technology to travel back in time to alter past events in order to change the future and avoid a devastating terrorist attack.

With Eureka cancelled, the Three Inches pilot dumped, and Blood & Chrome's uncertain future, Rewind and Defiance might be the only new shows we see from Syfy for a while.

But Deadline also notes that Syfy has yet to pull the plug on Blood & Chrome entirely, and there might be three other scripted dramas on the horizon behind the two newcomers Seeing Things and Ghost Projekt and the untitled space show from Andromeda showrunner Robert Hewitt Wolfe."
